Tom Dixon is possibly one of the most famous British designers, who rose to prominence in the 80’s and his career has been well documented with all its incarnations. In the early days Tom Dixon produced his own work, and floating around the internet somewhere is a picture of our director, Jeremy West, in his studio in 1990 on the day he had just received a new Mig welder to help with the production of his Pylon collection; a collection reissued in 2019
Tom Dixon has gone on to create pieces for some of the great design companies while always keeping his own production company. In 2002 Tom Dixon started a new company that is the one most people know of today. A prolific company with a collection that covers the smallest of accessories to famous lights such as the Beat and Melt series as well as a separate company that undertakes interior projects across the globe.
