We first discovered Moooi in 2001 at their first ever Milan exhibition in a small boiler room next to the giant display by Cappellini in the Tortona district of Milan. At the time Tortona was an almost derelict industrial area and certainly the place to be. As we ventured down a few steps and through a huge steel door we were met by the first collection in a tiny room, the flower table, flower chair, set up shades and the VIP chair. From that point on Moooi has grown and grown to become one of the most influential design companies in the world with Marcel Wanders at the helm.
Marcel Wanders has also gone on to be a global mega star designing for some of the world’s biggest companies as well as creating everything from a humble vase to huge hotels. For Ferrious, the strength of Moooi lies in their lighting and you will find many of their designs adorning the showroom.
