Knoll started life in 1938 as the brainchild of husband and wife Hans and Florence Knoll, designers in their own right. Their furniture was revolutionary, and many pieces are as relevant today as they were over 80 years ago. The company went on to produce work by the likes of Ludwig Mies Van der Rohe, Harry Bertoia, Marcel Breuer, Eero Saarinen and many more whose designs have continued to be produced to this day.
More recently Knolll has worked with some of the twenty-first century greats such Marc Newson, Frank Gehry, Piero Lissoni and David Adjaye to name a few. The quality of their furniture is truly exceptional with many pieces made by hand by artisan craftsmen in Italy. Knoll furniture is displayed extensively in the Ferrious showroom with both the classic and future classic pieces as well as examples of all the available finishes and fabrics.
